On December 17th, 2010, Redditor ShowPuncher submitted a photograph of Community co-star Joel McHale in a post titled 'I have the weirdest boner right now.' Although unclear exactly when or where the image macro was first uploaded, it has been frequently used on the internet humor site FunnyJunk since November 2010. One of the earliest known iterations of the phrase in image macro form has been attributed to a photograph of Community co-star Donald Glover, which still remains one of the most well-known instances of the series.
